New and inclusive community
Uniting Early Learning Westmead has been welcoming children from birth to 5 years since 2021. On Darug land and close to the Westmead Health Precinct, our long day care centre offers engaging and inclusive early education and preschool programs. We understand that sometimes families may need a little extra support, which is why we’re open even during school holidays.
Our commitment to diversity
Our educators value the diverse cultures of our local community and are committed to creating a warm and safe learning space, making every child feel valued and respected. We’re co-located with Uniting Westmead Residential Aged Care, meaning your child has the opportunity to foster intergenerational relationships through social interactions like story time and Tai Chi meditation with our residents.
Nurturing every stage of development
With 3 separate spaces for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, our educators meaningfully contribute to your child’s learning experiences by encouraging their communication, physical development, and social and emotional skills. Through our tailored approach and structured activities such as our Bush Kindy program and shared morning tea, we foster the curiosity of preschoolers, building their sense of independence.
Natural and stimulating learning spaces
We know how important these early years are, which is why we encourage your child to freely explore their creativity and self-expression. This could take them from participating in our outdoor yarning circle, becoming an aspiring artist in our art studio, learning to garden with one of our aged care residents, or caring for our village chickens.
Our early learning centre will provide your child with the tools to make the transition to ‘big school’ easy on them and you.

My son was attending Uniting Early Learning Westmead and we cannot thank the staff at the centre enough. All the educators and nothing short of amazing. The centre is organised, professional & very clean. Highly recommended and one of the only very few non-profit centers in the area. The children really come first here. Read more

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
