What the parents say
What the parents say
Both of my children joined the centre when they opened. My daughter graduated from the centre last year. She learned so much at daycare, she is doing fantastic at school now. All the educators are so lovely.
Laura - parent
My son started in the babies room. He loves going to the centre and loves his teachers so much. He is always happy there, we don’t need to worry about anything while we are at work.
Zhang - parent
The teachers are extremely friendly and caring. As a first time parent, I was nervous about putting my daughter at daycare. However, the director and teachers are so lovely. I can tell them all my concerns and they are always happy to help you.

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
6 weeks - 2 years
The children enjoy a lot of one on one interactions with the educators to develop a sense of security and belonging. They take part in sensory play and activities, learning about themselves, and small group time. The individual children’s home routines are followed by the educators.
2 years - 3 years
The curious toddlers are provided with a variety of activities including introductions to literacy and numeracy. Children’s independence is encouraged and nurtured. The educators work in partnership with families during toilet training as part of their preparation for preschool classrooms.
3 years - 5 years
Children’s voices and ideas are respected, encouraged and fostered. The children take part in a school readiness program which includes literacy, numeracy and social skills in the daily program. Children are provided with planned activities as well as opportunities to choose their own play. Group discussions are essential parts of the program and determine future interests/program. The educators work in partnership with local primary schools to prepare children for their transition to school.

I have 18 years of experience in the early childhood industry. My goal is to encourage all the educators to create learning environments that are inclusive, interactive and positive. I also aim to build positive relationships with families, educators and children. I am passionate about what I do and strive to do my absolute best for everyone.
Centre Manager, Swan Academy Chatswood
I have learnt and improved so much since I started working here. The relationships between staff and management are fantastic. Everyone in the centre shared their ideas and encouraged each other for better improvements. I put a lot of effort in creating interactive learning spaces for the children and am proud of my achievements so far.
Jen - Educator
I have a lot of opportunities to develop my skills at Swan Academy. The working environment is great and positive. Everyone here is very nice. I love my job and love going to work.
Thi - Educator
I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I have worked hard to ensure the children have a great learning environment. I love making learning fun for the children. I absolutely love my job. Although it can be challenging at times, it is also rewarding. There is always something new to look forward to and I truly enjoy coming to work each day.

Morning
Felix is nine months old and sits with his educator and friends for story time when he first arrives at the centre. Today they are reading The Gruffalo, which is one of Felix’s favourite books.
Lunchtime
Felix finishes his lunch and then sits with an educator who prepares him for his nap. She sits with him while he falls asleep which makes him feel safe and secure.
Afternoon
The children head outside and Felix enjoys digging in the sandpit and playing with the toy trucks. His educator helps him load up the truck with sand and then deliver it to his friend Joey, who is playing nearby.
Morning
Alice is two and a half years old and likes to play in the outdoor playground. She and her friends dig in the sandpit and play on the slide until it is time for morning tea.
Lunchtime
After lunch the children enjoy some quiet time. Alice no longer has a day sleep, so her educator sets her up with a fun audiobook to listen to while she has a rest.
Afternoon
The toddlers are very excited, as some firefighters are coming in for a special visit. Alice tries on one of the helmets, and gets to sit in a real fire truck.
Morning
Leah is four years old and today she is finishing off a craft project that she has been working on. She has made a rocket from cereal boxes and is adding the final touches with paint and glitter.
Lunchtime
Leah and the other preschoolers are having some quiet time after their lunch. Leah chooses some puzzles and sits with her friend Ava to work together on them.
Afternoon
The children play outside in the playground and Leah has some fun making a village in the sandpit with her friends. They add sticks for trees and make a river with some water from the watering can.

Amazing place, our kids have adapted so well to the teachers, they have great staff who are very experienced in child development, they help with transition, they're supportive through toilet training, they're engaging and work on anything your child might be struggling with. We've loved them from day 1. They have a set routine the kids love, they have separated play areas and also let our 2 play together, they help them build trusting and caring relationships with friends and educators, they do extra curricular classes like socca joeys and public speaking classes. We've had to move from previous centres due to the inexperience of staff, here we can not fault them, the Educators experience and care for our babies is amazing. To all the educators and the support from Jen who is always attentive when I call to update or support with extra days when it's school holidays. Everyone here and everything you do has had the best influence on our children, we've watched them blossom and will be forever grateful to each and every one of you. Thank you, the Brooke family xxx Read more
