Across all of the Kekeco Childcare services, we have an overarching Business Philosophy.
“We are a team of dedicated early childhood Educators, entrusted with the health and well being of each child, within the highest quality “learning through play” environment, whilst working in partnership with families and the community”.
Our Curriculum
Children are natural learners who investigate and experiment with their environment, space and time and others in their group. Our curriculum encourages children to be outside in the large open yards which are filled with opportunities for children to get messy, as they engage in play which encourages their sense of exploration and investigation.
Our Programs and Points of Difference
Birthdays
Your child’s birthday is a special event in his/her life. To celebrate your child’s birthday we will make a special time for all the children to sing Happy Birthday and recognise how special it is that they are celebrating growing up. Families are able to share the day with the child if they wish by either sharing our service provided morning or afternoon tea with the group or other celebration activities. We will ensure that your child has a wonderful time with their friends. Please note that educators will not be responsible for distributing birthday invitations within the child’s class.
Inclusion
Our service is inclusive for all children, including those with additional needs. Our aim is to provide each child, regardless of their needs and abilities, with a supportive and inclusive environment that allows each child to fully participate in the program. Educators will remain positive, open-minded and honest at all times when working with families and external support Educators to positively meet the additional needs of each child being educated and cared for at the centre.
Language
Our services participate in E.L.L.A (Early Learning Language Australia) our language program is Indonesian. E.L.L.A. introduces children to learning a new language via interactive tablet apps, which have been developed in consultation with experts in languages, early childhood and technology. The Program is supported by Federal Government funding to provide the lesson plans and interactive programs online. This program is delivered primarily in the Kindergarten Room.
Sustainability
We encourage all children and staff to be creators, not consumers. Our Educational Leaders work closely with the staff at each of our services to ensure that we are using resources and equipment which is resourceful and recycled where ever possible. Our programs support children to understand and to care for their environment and reinforces the need to reduce, reuse and recycle where ever and whenever possible.

Alyse and Amy have been amazing in eliminating my anxieties about our baby beginning care. They are warm and welcoming and I can see they take pride in their work and care for the children in the room. I am so excited to see them develop a relationship with our baby.

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
The program is modified regularly to cater to each baby’s patterns of growth and development. Each child has their own daily activities which will enable them to grow and which will help with healthy brain development. The educators pay particular attention to enabling the child to develop cognitive and social skills which are age-appropriate. Activities regularly encourage the development of physical strength, hand-eye coordination, sensory and spatial orientation. The environment is rich with sounds, sights and sensory experiences which encourage social and emotional interactions, assisting in the development of more complex communication skills.
The centre offers Junior and Senior Toddler rooms, where the program provides opportunities for the children to develop sharing and cooperation skills, language development, non-verbal communication as well as learning to develop social skills and friendships. Toddlers develop their own unique language, maths, investigation, creative skills, fine and gross motor skills, sensory experiences as well as social and environmental understanding. The developmental progress of the toddlers is monitored and regularly communicated with parents through conversations and electronic updates.
Here the children are encouraged to learn about themselves and their friends. They are encouraged to build on the knowledge and skills they already have and this creates the perfect environment for them to be ready for 4 Year Old Kindergarten. The programs in this room will continue to work on cultural experiences, sensory events, fine and gross motor skills development, language development, maths, creative experiences and the development of social skills as well as language.
The educators ensure that the kindergarten children are provided with a stimulating, educational and adventure-packed program. They work collaboratively with families to ensure that the children are ready for school at the end of the year. The centre holds regular parent teacher interviews throughout the year to provide information on school readiness.
