About the curriculum
About the curriculum
The nursery is an extension of home where the educators cater the routines to the individual needs of each child. The focus is on creating a happy and safe environment for peer and educator relationships to thrive while the children develop their fine and gross motor skills.
The curriculum in the nursery room is centred around hands-on sensory experiences. The children are encouraged to explore their interests and discover the world around them.
In the toddler room, the children are encouraged to develop their own unique interests while the educators also teach them early literacy and numeracy skills. The daily routine includes a mix of small and large group times as well as free play and teacher initiated learning activities.
The children are supported to develop their independence and self-help skills such as toilet training and packing away. Peer friendships are encouraged and the children build resilience and self-awareness that will serve them well throughout their school years and beyond.
In the preschool room, small group experiences allow the educators to tailor the curriculum to different needs, age groups and interests. With a combination of play-based learning, hands-on experiences and educator-led activities, the children become independent and capable learners.
The children are empowered to ask questions and explore their world. They are supported to develop self help skills and share their unique interests and experiences with their peers.
