Kool Kidz Mill Park
Kool Kidz Mill Park Centre overview
Kool Kidz Mill Park childcare and kindergarten is a family-run service where high standards of care and education are the norm. Our Mill Park childcare service is led by Nicole Llewellyn, a local resident, parent and a passionate advocate for quality child care and early years learning.
Our brand new early learning centre is located at 49 Oleander Drive in a purpose built facility with outdoor play spaces specifically designed with children’s development needs in mind. We are 600 metres from Westfield Plenty Valley shopping centre and 800 metres from the South Morang train station. A location that is ideal for families within the Whittlesea community looking for quality child care.
At Kool Kidz Mill Park we provide seven age appropriate indoor play spaces adjoining four age appropriate sectioned outdoor learning environments enriched with natural resources to engage and connect your child with nature. Each room at Kool Kidz Mill Park is led by a qualified room leader along with other educators staffed over the required ratio to ensure each and every child receives the highest standard of care and education at such an important stage in their lives.
Our focus is on developing strong partnerships with all children attending our Mill Park child care service and their families. Come and meet our staff, see our classrooms with high quality resources. Our qualified and experienced cook has developed a fun and nutritious menu for all children to enjoy.
We provide ample on-site car parking for drop off and pick up. We set very high standards of safety, education and care. For your peace of mind and child’s safety we have invested in the latest finger-print access technology.

I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old at Kool Kidz Mill Park, I've always found them to be very professional but feels like a 2nd family to my kids. My 3 year old is always happy to go, tells me of the daily activities, loves her educators and friends. I feel very confident about leaving my kids here and know they are well taken care of. Highly recommended!!

We are extremely lucky to have found such a fantastic childcare to enrol our son. The educators that have been assisting with my son are terrific. They are kind, compassionate and are helping him learn so much. The food served to the children is of excellent quality. Nicole and all the employees at Kool Kidz Mill Park are all friendly and helpful.

We have had our children in day care for the better part of the last 11 years, we appreciate the stability, care and consistency of Kool Kidz Mill Park. The centre is clean and always calm and they really do foster an environment that allows our little guy to thrive and grow. Most importantly our son looks forward to childcare every week and as a working parent we are very fortunate to have found a centre that genuinely cares about the kids and their education. We highly recommend Kool Kidz Mill Park.

About the curriculum
About the curriculum
6 weeks - 12 months
Educators try to provide a home away from home where children feel safe and secure. The children’s wellbeing and development is the focus, with age appropriate activities. Children take part in tummy time, sensory play, messy play, reading and singing.
12 months - 24 months
The children’s wellbeing and development is the focus, with age appropriate activities to foster independence, social skills and confidence. Educators encourage the children to learn through play, in the form of music, dance and games. Literacy and numeracy are introduced through experiences with the educators.
2 years - 3 years
Educators encourage the children to learn through play, to encourage development. This will take the form of music, dance, games, and reading. Group play is designed to develop confidence and social skills. Books, language and technology based games are enjoyed, to develop communication, literacy and numeracy.
3 years - 4 years
The children learn through play to encourage development, through music, dance, games, reading and lots of outdoor fun including Bush Kinder. Educators encourage group play to develop confidence and social skills. Risky play, sports and language programs are encouraged in a safe space.
4 years - 6 years
A school readiness program will help children prepare for the next step in their education. Children lead the curriculum depending on their interests and preferences. Respect for self and others is taught while play based learning is designed to enhance their social and emotional skills before they begin formal schooling. The children learn Italian with the ELLA program, as well as science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The centre has also partnered with a local nursing home to provide the children with some intergenerational learning.
