About the Curriculum
About the Curriculum
6 weeks – 12 months
The passionate and experienced Educators work closely with families to ensure each baby’s routine is personalised to meet their individual needs. The children take part in activities within a stimulating learning environment. They enjoy group time for their music and movement program or special guests that come into the centre. They eat their meals and snacks with their friends under the guidance of their Educators. They enjoy taking part in songs and storytelling, sensory activities, and messy play in the garden. At nap time, they are taken into the sleeping area where gentle music and a twinkling night sky encourages them to rest.
2 years – 3 years
The Educators recognise that routines for toddlers are an important opportunity for learning. Performing daily, predictable tasks while having fun is a chance for toddlers to build their self-confidence, communication and social skills and the ability to develop their self-control. The toddlers enjoy a daily rhythmic routine which assists them to transition between activities throughout the day. They take part in activities such as music, yoga, cooking, painting, drawing, singing and dancing, STEAM based activities and the centre’s sustainability program. They also enjoy eating their meals and snacks with their friends and Educators.
4 years – 6 years
The Educators ensure the children’s environment is fun and inviting, encouraging quality play-based experiences to help them to develop memory skills, language development and behaviour regulation, supporting the transition to school and academic learning later on in life. The children enjoy yoga, visits from special guests, and regular excursions to local parklands. They enjoy regular meals and snacks with their friends and Educators, helping to set up, serve and clear away afterwards. Other activities include literacy and numeracy games, a sensory experience in the zen garden, outdoor fun with the sustainability curriculum, and STEAM activities to help encourage children to think creatively and critically.

We’ve been at Green Leaves in High Wycombe for a few months and absolutely love it. In comparison to other daycares, it’s incredibly peaceful and calm at pickups and the activities are amazing, especially the dance classes! The educators provide tailored updates, none of this generic ‘she had a great day’. They’ve helped significantly with toilet training and we love the photos and updates. Thanks Green Leaves!! My son has been attending this centre since it first opened, and we couldn’t be happier. He started at just 6 months old, and every morning when we drop him off, he’s excited to go in and play (and, of course, explore!). We love that the centre provides nutritious meals, nappies, and natural, light-filled rooms that create a welcoming environment. Being close to a main road, we were initially concerned about noise, but it’s surprisingly quiet inside the rooms. The staff are professional, nurturing, and truly passionate about working with children. Like any new centre, there were a few minor teething issues when they first opened, but the team was quick to respond to any concerns. Ultimately, seeing the smile on my son’s face every day reassures us that we made the right choice. Read more
