Our educational offerings are tailored to different age groups, each designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment. Here are the key rooms we offer, categorized by age:

Teddies: Ages 6 weeks to 2 years, with a maximum of 12 children per day. Dolphins: Ages 2 to 3 years, accommodating up to 15 children per day. Wallabies: Ages 3 to 5 years, with a capacity of 28 children per day.

Wallabies Room

The Wallabies Room caters to children aged three to five, focusing on fostering exploration, self-learning, and independence in a safe environment. Our dedicated staff curate activities to promote play-based learning, enhancing autonomy and social skills. With a keen eye on school readiness, we prepare children for the challenges of formal education, emphasizing communication, literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.

Immunisation:
At Oakhurst Preschool, your child's health and safety are our top priorities. Immunisation proof is required upon admission to ensure the well-being of all children. Those who haven't been immunised due to medical or religious reasons may be excluded if an illness preventable by immunisation occurs. Up-to-date immunisation records are necessary for childcare benefits.

Illness Information:
Outbreaks of infectious diseases will be posted on the foyer notice board, and parents will also be notified through our communication channels to keep everyone informed.

Sickness Policy:
Unwell children shouldn't attend the centre to prevent the spread of illness. Children with a fever shouldn't come to the centre for 24 hours after the last spike. Administering Panadol, Nurofen, or antibiotics within the last 24 hours is also grounds for exclusion.

Child Protection:
Our staff are Mandatory Reporters under The Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act, 1998. Any concerns regarding a child's safety or well-being will be reported to the authorities. Allegations of child abuse against anyone associated with our service are reported to the Ombudsman within 30 days as per the Ombudsman Amendment (Child Protection and Community Services) Act 1998.
