A blend of academic excellence in a full-service long daycare setting has created Marsden Early Learning College that focuses on the social, emotional and physical development of its children -- from the infant stage right up until they go to school. This is an innovative centre offering an exciting new model of long day care and education for children from 0 to 5 years old. A team of degree-qualified teachers and skilled educators partner with families to provide tailored and holistic learning opportunities that help children prepare for school, and thrive.
Alongside the academic curriculum, this progressive centre offers a huge range of extra-curricular programmes including:
- The Five Senses Course: environment, health/safety, social skills, arts, cooking
- Engineering
- Computers
- Drama & Acting: poetry, singing, dance, drama, puppetry
- Music with a professional music teacher
- Sports: soccer, basketball, athletics
The state-of-the-art building features five classrooms equipped with soundproof walls and interactive smartboards. The interiors are light and colourful, and children love the junior cafe, with healthy & delicious meals. Educators deliver a stimulating and focused program that equips children with vital cognitive, social and emotional skills.
Outside, children are provided with an Outdoor Adventureland, where they can hone their motor and physical skills in a beautiful outdoor area.
Here at Marsden Early Learning College, we promote school readiness by implementing balanced, intentional and child-initiated learning experiences and developing an active relationship with our local primary schools. Programs
Programs
To learn and develop to their potential, children must be respected and valued as individuals. The centre encourages children to become independent and lifelong learners by providing equal educational opportunities for all. Teachers and educators take a holistic approach, providing open-ended exploration and play, consistent warm relationships, and stimulating programs.
Kindergarten
The Kindergarten Program provides a learning environment that encourages children to think, investigate, explore and solve problems independently. The academic curriculum includes language, maths and science.
The Five Senses Course
In line with the centre’s holistic goals, the Five Senses course uses the senses to introduce children to a range of concepts and learning opportunities. This includes health and safety, social skills, arts and cooking.
Computers & Engineering
Children have hands-on opportunities to discover computers and engineering concepts, equipping them with important skills for kindergarten and beyond.
Drama & Acting
To nurture individuality and creativity, the centre incorporates a stimulating creativity program that includes poetry, singing, dance, drama and puppetry.
Music
Children can take part in extra-curricular music lessons with skilled professional music teachers. Available instruments including drums, guitar, piano and African drum.
Sports
The centre focuses on health and wellbeing with regular physical activity in the Adventure Wonderland playground, plus sports including soccer, basketball, athletics, gymnastics and badminton. Families are also welcome to join the Soccer Club, with lessons led by an ex-professional soccer player and qualified coach.

The centre has a leading team of Bachelor qualified teachers and Diploma qualified educators, who strive to give all children the very best learning opportunities.
Educators are open in communication, engage active listening skills and work to build a shared understanding between children, families, colleagues and communities. They do this through positive, responsive, reciprocal and respectful interactions.
To achieve the best possible outcome for children, the centre provides all staff with ongoing training, professional development and support.

The centre proudly fosters children’s wellbeing by supporting families, respecting their culture, knowledge and community. They aim to build strong connections and consistency among all aspects of the child’s world.
The team welcomes family input into the program and encourages all families to participate. Families are also welcome at centre events and cultural celebrations held throughout the year.

About the curriculum
Marsden Early Learning College embraces the Early Years Learning Framework. The curriculum adheres to the philosophy of building on children’s own experience to foster empowerment, through a holistic approach to children’s learning.
The highly trained and dedicated educators understand that they play a vital role in shaping the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of every child. As such, the educators take a child-centred approach where the children learn in a safe, supportive and caring environment. The educators aim to develop a strong sense of wellbeing and belonging in children by building positive and reciprocal relationships.
The centre has seven age-specific classrooms, where children receive individualised care and learning. These include:
- Earth Explores - 0 to 12 months
- Venus Explorers - 12 months to 2 years
- Saturn Explorers - 2.5 years to 30 months
- Mercury Explorers - 31 months to 3 years
- Pluto Explorers - 3 to 3.5 years
- Neptune Explorers - 3.5 to 4 years
- Jupiter Explorers - 4 to 5 years
- OSHC/Vacation Care - 5 to 13 years

Morning
Anna is 8 months old and new to the centre. In the morning, she cuddles a favourite teddy while an educator reads her a story about animals in the jungle.
Lunch
After lunch, Anna’s educator helps her play with blocks. She builds a tower and loves watching it grow taller and taller.
Afternoon
Anna and the group are outside this afternoon. They play in the Ancient & Archaeological park, digging in the sandpit and searching for fossils.
Morning
In the morning, Harry and his friends have fun in the City Park outside. They are learning to ride bikes and Harry practises staying in the road lines and stopping at the red signal.
Lunch
Today, Harry and his friends have lunch at the table outside. The chef has made fresh frittata, and as they eat, he answers their questions about growing and cooking vegetables.
Afternoon
It’s dance time this afternoon. A teacher plays a song and they all move their arms and stomp their feet in time to the music.
Morning
Freya is excited to be starting big school next year. She loves learning and this morning is looking at a book about her favourite topic - dinosaurs.
Lunch
After lunch, Freya plays in the Archaeological park. She digs for dinosaur fossils and pretends to be a grown up archaeologist!
Afternoon
Freya and her friend have a maths class this afternoon. She is learning to count and is looking forward to learning much more maths in big school.

They have many things advertised many activities for the children however all they do is make the kids sit outside all day and when your child gets hurt the staff just don’t care nor will they do an incident report or even notify the parent about it. I pulled my child out of this daycare and I have money they owe me in my account with them however they keep ignoring me regarding my refund even though they promised me one. Read more

My child has come home numerous times hurt where skin was broken on multiple places on his body and the teacher didn’t even bother to tell me what happened to him or even do an incident report. They have also advertised where they do many activities however this is all false they do not they literally sit the kids down outside for hours and hours and the staff just don’t care. I’ve pulled my child out of this after school care it’s complete rubbish and all they care about it taking money it’s just a money taking scheme that’s it! Read more
