My son has attended for the last 18 months, starting in T2 and transitioning into the Preschool class. The educators are wonderful in spite of the continued scrutiny the school is coming under. They are all attentive, communicate well and are understanding of the needs of my child. The centre is culturally diverse and this is embraced by all the staff and built into the children's everyday learning.

When making a decision on where to send our daughter for day care, we looked at a number of centres around Canberra. The main reason we chose the Brindabella Christian College ELC was the people. Our daughter took to her educators instantly. They are kind, patient and in-tune with the needs of our child and she is so happy to spend her days with them. The added bonus to this is that our daughter gets the benefit of mixing with children in other age groups. She is only one but she visits with the PK children as well as the after-school care primary aged children who happily include her in their play, which she adores. She has flourished at BCC ELC and they nurture her development. We are very happy with our choice and love seeing our daughter so comfortable in her surroundings.

We chose BCC ELC, Charnwood Campus for our little one because the educators and administrative staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming to our family. When we toured the centre the children in their care seemed to have developed lovely relationships with the staff. This is why we will continue sending our child to BCC ELC. He lights up with big smiles and hugs for the educators when he arrives in the morning which is very reassuring to us that he is comfortable, cared for and treated like one of the family while he isn't with us.

Centre philosophy
Centre philosophy
In Christ, both Educator and Child learn and grow together, our Educators aim to broaden the children’s minds, deepen their knowledge, and equip them with the tools for future educational success. We endeavor to create a home away from home, where children become confident, nurtured, and feel loved through their learning and engagement in our centre’s community. We hope that a holistic approach to teaching will encourage a love of lifelong learning.

I had been to several centres as a Prac Student before I did prac here at Brindabella ELC and I am convinced that this centre is the best centre of them all.
When I was doing my prac at Brindabella ELC in Charnwood for the first time, I felt like staff members treated me as one of them and I've seen they are not there just for money, but they truly love the environment and the children.
The educators show genuine love from the bottom of their hearts towards the children and they have shown faith in Christ and show a sense of duty in teaching children about the bible in everyday practice. As a result, I am sure there are no other childcare centres that teach biblical education like our centre to our children.
The other reason I choose to stay at Brindabella ELC in Charnwood is that all of the educators relate to each other with a strong bond. I can confidently say how I feel and express my ideas with my colleagues and managers, this helps us to create a better learning curriculum.
This atmosphere encourages me to be passionate at work and inspires me to continue learning more about this industry.
Lily – Assistant Educator, Charnwood Campus.
After my interview, I was taken round the campus for a tour of Brindabella ELC. The first thing that got my attention was the diversity in culture. The ELC in Charnwood has a lot of Educators from different backgrounds and cultures and they all work together as a family, genuinely caring for each other. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this great team.
One of the things that sets us apart from other centres is how we genuinely look after our children and families. Each educator gives their very best to well-being of the children.
The other thing that I am very proud of about our ELC is our program and how we instill biblical living into our children from a tender age.
Peace – Lead Educator, Charnwood Campus.
I chose Brindabella Christian College ELC because I wanted to work at Christian school where I can freely share gospel and be part of children’s spiritual growth. I believe that is one of my gifts that God gave me. I also love working here because we have wonderful families who love collaborating and contributing to children’s learning. We have genuine relationships and that is something special when working directly with children. Lastly, the things that sets us apart from other centres are definitely opportunities for staff training and great team work! I’ve never worked in a centre with this strong teamwork.
Hannah – Lead Educator, Charnwood Campus.

I was pleased with how well this place was run, the educators were amazing and the communication was incredible. Any Minor falls or accidents I was called immediately. My daughter loved all the educators and was always so happy for her “school days”. The best experience yet with daycares as others have been a nightmare. Would recommend this centre to everyone.
