My son has been attending to Jana’s family day care for over a year now. We started with one day a week and... My son has been attending to Jana’s family day care for over a year now. We started with one day a week and gradually progressed to four days a week. I have been very satisfied with Jana’s day care service. Some of the highlights include: 1. Love and care - Jana genuinely cares for the children, she has a bright and warm personality and little kids love her! Following the initial separation anxiety (which is to be expected and didn’t last long), my son now looks forward to going to Jana’s. 2. Nutritious food - Jana cooks meals herself (which include breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack) so that the children have good home made meals (including delicious Russian soups). 3. Guidance to parents - Jana encourages children to learn how to dress and eat independently, as well as use a potty. She gives practical tips to parents so that these skills can be implemented well. 4. Fun activities - children are involved in interesting activities on a daily basis (including music, dancing, drawing and crafting). Jana also facilitates themed activities (such as Easter, Australia Day, international women day etc). A Christmas recital was one of the biggest highlights - Jana and the kids prepared an amazing program that included ten or so performances. Seeing the kids singing and dancing together (and getting so much fun out of it) was a pure joy! Overall, I give a 5+ star rating to Jana’s day care, it’s a great alternative to traditional day care centres (it’s a family-like environment with max. 4 children, fantastic for children with Russian background, and great value for money).
