Urmi Family Day Care

My name is Urmi Sikder. I have been working as a Family Day Care (FDC) educator for 17 years in a row. I started my journey with Gold Coast YMCA where I enjoyed my work with fantastic coordinators and staff. After YMCA closedown, I am continuing with Choices FDC where I am also very happy working with the coordination team. I love children and play with them. I can forget my sorrows and physical pain when I stay with the lovely children.

I believe if a child’s base/foundation can be made with good nature and behavior, empathy, caring, honesty, love and feeling for others within first five years of life, they will likely continue in their life making them good human beings.

I am passionate to explore the hidden skills in children, motivate them to change any behavior of concerns and work through towards improvement every day. I wish to see them grow well and success in their life.
