About the curriculum

About the curriculum
The educators at Footsteps Early Learning Centre are committed to providing a curriculum that emphasises learning through play and exploration. The curriculum aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework and provides the children with autonomy over their learning and daily routine. This promotes and fosters their strong sense of self.
The Schools Readiness program is part of the daily curriculum with an intentional School Readiness teaching session every day. Developed in consultation with local kindergarten teachers and schools it covers all aspects of the six key developmental learning areas of the NSW Kindergarten curriculum. The program gives children the opportunity to extend on their interests and needs and encourage the skills needed for starting school.
Kinderloop is used to record the events of the day and communicate and provide real-time information, observations, programs, and photographs to the families of each child. Each family has their own secure login details with content 100% private for their viewing at any time.
