What was broadcasted on Four Corners was just tip of the iceberg. Initially when this centre was established, it was really good. However, within a few months, management started to leave one by one. And this is within 6 months of opening. From there onwards, management was coming and going. To a point, I sat down with one Director where I found out she resigned by seeing Seek advertisement for a new Centre Director. She said the cash flow issue is causing major operating issues. She gave an example of when she tried to order weekly essentials like food, nappies, milks etc on a Thursday, the card won’t go through as there is no money in the bank. She had to call multiple times to head office throughout the day and the next day and promise would continue to fall through. Then head office would contact her on a Sunday to advise her the money has finally been banked to allow her to order the essentials on a Sunday. She could not look after her stuff as they all don’t get paid on time and simply cannot retain stuff to allow normal operation. The food was another reason we left. Genius advertised having a proper chef and proper healthy meal planning. The reality is, they constantly don’t have a qualified chef as they cannot retain a proper chef because they don’t pay on time and don’t pay super. The educators have to cook which is taking them away from their duties which should be looking after the children. The meals were quite unhealthy as there is no proper funding. I witnessed my son have cereal with no milk and having sausage rolls. The toys are so worn out and dirty where the educators feel so bad that they have to turn to Facebook freebie page for free toys. Educators will have to pick up the free toys on weekends so children would have some refreshing toys to play with. Genius has taken advantage on every possible person on earth. The educators, contractors, parents and the Government for personal gain. Please consider removing your child from this company as by keeping your children in this company is supporting this behavior. Read more

If you've come to check the reviews following the 4 Corners investigation, it is all 100% true. We removed our child from Genius in late 2024 due to the disturbing mismanagement of the centre. The centre was incredible at the beginning with a wonderful manager, 2IC and a team of dedicated staff who genuinely cared about our child. Genius has consistently underpaid or not paid their workers. Many have not been paid super in 2+ years. Turnover was insanely high, new casual educators every second day as they can't retain staff. Ratios are ignored and casual educators sit watching the children rather than interacting or assisting crying kids. I personally had to comfort children who were crying as the casual educators sat and watched. Educators spread gossip about other children and parents, providing kids medical information to unrelated parties on multiple occasions. Staff were passed up for promotions because the manager is "sick of training people". My child came home crying every single day. Despite having a known allergy with the -CORRECT AND VALID- ASCIA paperwork, the casual educators continued to cause allergic reactions. I had to collect him multiple times due to their negligence which left him with painful welts on his face for days at a time. Management denied that they had caused the reactions, stating that it was HFM. Upon yet another call asking me to collect him, I asked the casual educator who confirmed they had been causing the allergic reactions. Management still denied, even after I had proof of this occuring and verified by our GP. Management is quick to retaliate when you raise concerns by threatening exclusion from the service (but will still want to charge you the full fees). Confidentiality and privacy was breached multiple times which I doubt has been reported as required. There is no compassion or care given by management, they absolutely do not care for you or your children's wellbeing. Manager won't even bother to pick up the phone and call you back, instead makes the 3IC have the difficult conversations. Middle management is also just as bad. They will gaslight you, ignore your concerns and try to go against what is best for your child. They disregard educators' attempts to advocate for your child and their development. They claim to know what's best for your child despite never setting foot in the room or even knowing your child's name. They are unsupportive of the staff on the ground, have unrealistic expectations, and are part of a much bigger issue. Genius is by far the worst centre I have heard of, or come across. I am one of many parents who have removed their children from the centre. I feel for the last remaining full time educators who are incredible and doing their best to care for the children but are being left unsupported by management, who think the way to resolve issues is to silence people, force educators & parents to leave and throw untrained casuals into the centre. I'll await my "take down the bad review" email that is incoming, as the manager enjoys attempting to intimidate people into removing reviews. Read more
