CABOOSH - Camden Baptist OOSH

Play, learning, recreation and social interaction form the basis of the Christian care evironment at CABOOSH. The focus at before school care is on quiet activities and fun indoor and outdoor activities that will help the children to prepare for the day ahead. After school care activities include outdoor play and craft as well as indoor and outdoor games.

A fun and exciting space is set up specifically to cater for children before and after school. The transition between separate locations for OOSH and School enables children to segregate and break up their days between school and play, leading to a healthier, happier child.

CABOOSH has a wonderful outdoor play area. Fenced for safety, there is plenty of room for running around or ball games and places to sit in the natural shade of some large trees. The indoor Centre provides children with both quiet spaces and spaces to play and use their imaginations. Plenty of toys and technology is available to keep children engaged and entertained.

The vacation care program at CABOOSH is highly anticipated by the children. The program includes excursions and incursions as well as workshops, themed dress up days, arts and crafts and special event celebrations. The activity program for each holiday period is released prior to bookings opening.

In partnership with Camden Baptist Church, the children also have access to free tutoring to assist with completing school work.

Your children are well fed with healthy meals and snacks throughout their time at CABOOSH. Every week we arrange a menu full of interesting and healthy food. In the morning, the children are provided with breakfast which usually consist of various cereals, toast with spreads, juice and the occasional special treat such as Milo. In the afternoon, we provide a filling afternoon tea, and additional snacks as the afternoon progresses. There is also always water and fruit available, and children are encouraged to have a water bottle with them.

During School Holidays, we provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea every day, and parents are asked only to pack morning tea for their children. Again, water and fruit are available throughout the day.

We cater to all dietary requirements and allergies, and have detailed processes in place to ensure all staff are aware of these requirements and that children are provided with the correct food.
