About the curriculum
About the curriculum
Niño ELA Saratoga seeks to ensure that your child develops a nurturing relationship with a primary educator, which helps them to develop a sense of trust, security and safety. They work with your family to develop goals for your child, seeking to understand what your little one needs in order to grow, learn and thrive.
Inquisitive and busy toddlers are nurtured and empowered by Niño ELA Saratoga's qualified educators, giving the children a sense of ownership of their learning.
The toddler program encourages discovery, mastery and self-regulation to inspire a love of learning and a desire to explore and create. The educators work in collaboration with families on key milestones during this action-packed developmental stage, such as toilet training and independence at meal times.
As the children grow, they move into Niño ELA Saratoga's kindergarten program to prepare them for the next stage of their life at ‘big school.’
Led by a Bachelor Qualified Teacher and a Diploma Qualified Educator, the 3 year old program is designed to help build confidence, a sense of belonging and a love of adventure. They find out what makes your child tick, what gets them excited, and factor this into their play.
In the 4 year old kindergarten program, a Bachelor Qualified Teacher and a Diploma Qualified Educator prepare individualised experiences depending on the interests of the child. They encourage them to take part in activities that they are likely to experience in primary school.

Meet the team
I love working at Niño ELA Saratoga where through creating and maintaining authentic, strong and supporting relationships and interactions with the team and our families we are able support the children to flourish into their own personalities, which is at the forefront of their own learning.

Health & nutrition
Health & nutrition
Niño ELA Saratoga is passionate about your child’s nutritional education. Children are encouraged to help plant and harvest food from the communal garden, share meals with their friends, and reduce their food waste by composting their scraps.
Niño ELA Saratoga’s Nutritional Ambassador, Dr Lauren Burn is an Olympic gold medallist and a leading nutritionist who shares the centre’s passion for building healthy eating habits for life.
In collaboration with their in-house chefs, Lauren has developed a fresh, seasonally influenced and nutritionally balanced menu that tastes great and enhances wellbeing. All food is cooked onsite daily and is adjusted for individual dietary requirements. It’s not only healthy, it’s food they’ll love to eat.
Think waffles, muffins, toast and cereal for breakfast; crumbed fish or pasta bake for lunch; vegetable dip, yoghurt, wholesome cake and seasonal fruit for snacks. Children are offered progressive meals which demonstrate respect for children's choices, offering them the flexibility to decide when to join the table for their meal.
Programs
Programs
Morning
Evie is 4 months old and as she arrives at Niño ELA Saratoga, her mum stops to have a chat to the educators. Evie didn’t sleep well last night, so her mum thinks she might be keen for an early nap. Evie’s educators enjoy some cuddles and read her favourite book with her before she has her bottle and heads off happily for a nap.
Lunch
Evie is feeling ready for some tummy time now, and the educators are getting some activities ready. They’ve set up some soft blocks for the nursery children to explore, and then they sing some songs while they play.
Afternoon
Evie’s educators have set up some musical instruments in the nursery for the little ones to play with. Evie picks up a tambourine and gives it a rattle. All of her senses are involved as she explores and enjoys the activity. Soon it’s time to pack away and just as they finish, Evie’s dad comes along to pick her up.
Morning
Jack is 18 months old and is a lively toddler with lots of energy. He starts his day with some free outdoor play, where he can dig in the sandpit and enjoy some construction play with the trucks. After some morning tea he’s ready to sit down with his friend and an educator to complete a puzzle.
Lunch
Jack sits down to a hot lunch of spaghetti with his friends, it’s their favourite meal. After a quick clean up, it’s time for some arts and crafts. Jack loves to paint, so he gets his art smock on and begins to paint a beach scene to give his mum.
Afternoon
It’s time for a quiet rest now, and some of Jack’s friends have a nap. Jack decides to do some indoor play with some blocks instead. He builds a huge tower and laughs when it all falls down. Before Jack’s parents come, there’s time for the centre’s music program. Jack grabs some maracas and taps along to the beat.
Morning
Chloe is three and loves coming to her pre-school. She starts her day off with some toast and milk, before heading out for some fun activities in the playground. Chloe and her friend start a game to see who can jump the highest? Who can jump and catch a ball at the same time?
Lunch
Before Chloe has her lunch, it’s time for some group activities. Chloe and her friends sit on the mat and sing some Spanish songs and rhymes, which have helped teach them some simple words in Spanish.
Afternoon
Chloe and the other children enjoy their yoga class with their educator. Chloe pretends to be a tree that grows up-up-up from a seed, and then she stretches out her arms pretending to be the big strong trunks. Chloe loves the part at the end where they all lie down on the mats and imagine that they’re floating on a cloud.

Our daughter is soon going to start her school and he has been going to Nino Saratoga since she was 2 years old. The staff and teachers at this center are so caring, personable and aware of all the children around them. There are a lot of activities that are carried out throughout the week and children always look forward to going to the childcare. The best things for us has been the weekly Spanish class. In addition, the food served to the children is delicious and top quality! I highly recommend Nino to anyone looking for a home away from home for their child. My second one is going to start here very soon:) Read more
