Story House Early Learning Chinderah
Story House Early Learning Chinderah Centre overview
At Story House Early Learning Chinderah we love working alongside families to support each child’s unique learning journey
At our Story House Early Learning Chinderah, we have five Early Childhood teachers working across our service, supporting the different age groups from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Each member of our team is a long-standing member with a gentle and kind approach to caring for your children. We focus on each child’s needs and interests to create our programs and curriculum. We believe that working in partnership with families will ensure a constant line of communication between families and educators. We believe this is a key component to encourage the growth and development of the children in our care.
We love working alongside families to support each child’s unique learning journey. Our Educators spend time developing trusting relationships with the children, allowing them to learn through play and fostering their connection to nature. We demonstrate the inherent value of getting outside in nature through play-based activities. As a service, we have a strong focus on including Indigenous perspectives in our play spaces and curriculum. We also encouarge indigenous visitors at the service for incursions and excursions for the children to connect with the community.

The staff are amazing and genuinely care about the children. I love that they all knew our Coby by name, different educators could tell you about what they saw him do or the time they spent with him throughout the day (including ones that are not specifically in his room). The staff work with you and help your child overcome any of their obstacles such as separation anxiety, assertiveness etc. The bonds and relationships Coby made will go with him and be evident in his early years as he moves into big school. Thank you offspring for giving our boy such a great, wholesome and positive start to learning and education.

HIGHLY recommend the guys at Offspring. ALL of the teachers are next level. They really care about your children, making both child and parent so very welcome. Their education is AMAZING! Our 5yr old is more than ready to hit the ground running as they say to start school and it's all because of this center's amazing ways. I would 110% recommend them to anyone looking for a daycare/or preschool center. The center should be proud of their amazing staff'

Health & nutrition
Health & nutrition
Story House Early Learning Chinderah understands that promoting children’s nutrition and health is an important aspect of providing a quality child care and early education service. It is crucial that children are offered healthy, nutritious meals throughout the day and enjoy social, positive mealtime experiences and discussions as part of their overall growth, development and knowledge.
The centre’s menu is prepared by a professionally qualified centre cook in consultation with families, educators, the children and recognised authorities such as Nutrition Australia. The centre can accommodate individual dietary requirements due to family preferences, cultural background, allergies or food intolerances, by working closely and in consultation with families to make sure individual children’s needs are met.
A positive attitude towards healthy eating is embedded into the curriculum and daily routines, for instance with their interactive cooking classes; menu development; discussion of food choices; explaining the role of food and culture; educators modeling healthy eating; and making meal times a pleasant, social occasion. The centre is proud that their produce is supplied by a local butcher and fresh fruit and vegetable shop.
Meet the team
Meet the team
At Story House Early Learning Chinderah, the educators believe that each child is on their own unique journey that shapes the person they are and who they will become. Just like chapters in a book, they understand that each child steps through their ‘story’ at their own pace and in their own time.
The team at Story House Early Learning Chinderah believes that learning is a lifelong journey and that early childhood education and care provides the foundation for learning for life. Children make sense of the world around them through the use of processes such as exploration, collaboration and problem solving across all aspects of the curriculum. They develop dispositions such as curiosity, persistence and creativity and use play to investigate, imagine and explore ideas, follow and extend their own interests.
The educators are key to supporting children on their journey and believe that relationships with families and community are essential for supporting children to be global citizens and helping them to reach their potential.
The centre is committed to maintaining a happy learning environment for the children and a supportive learning environment for our educators.
I am passionate about inclusive practice and allowing each child, family and educator the opportunity to be heard and involved. The love and care the team show towards our children and families makes this a fun, cohesive and passionate environment to work in.
