Programs
Programs
Fitness Program: draws on the fun of movement and dance, the creativity of music, and the joy of active play. Each week the children enjoy a new and exciting interactive themed adventure and all classes are specially designed to encourage participation, expression and social interaction.
Multi-Sport Program: this educational, interactive and fun program encourages and motivates children to try new things and experience the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle. Coached by experts ranging from Exercise Physiologists, Human Movement Specialists, Personal trainers and Multi-sport Coaches.
Junior Soccer: children take part in a Soccer Fundamental Program, where they will begin to understand the rules of soccer and the benefits of teamwork. Trained coaches assist children to develop the physical and cognitive skills necessary to become a proficient player.
Excursions: the children go on visits outside of the centre that let them learn new skills and gain a greater understanding and awareness of the world around them. Some excursions include visits to the local library and supermarkets, nature exploration in Centennial Park, or nearby farm visits.
Incursions: the centre selects incursions that complement the curriculum and extend on children’s classroom learning and interests. For instance visits from the dentist or firefighters, and visits that support multicultural education.
About the curriculum
About the curriculum
Educators encourage each child to play, explore and learn in the diverse indoor and outdoor environments. Focusing on play-based learning, emergent curriculum, and a structured routine, the educators support and supervise children, nurturing literacy and numeracy skills, as well as social skills, imagination, high-level thinking, an interest in sustainability, and much more.
6 weeks - 2 years
The educators aim to provide care that is home-like and nurturing. The nursery room is a relaxed environment where children can play and interact with each other and their educator. With tailored routines to suit each individual child, children will encounter familiar experiences such as meal and play times, nappy changes and sleep whilst engaging in meaningful relationships with their educators. Children are encouraged to explore and develop their understanding of the world through their 5 senses. The room is safe and supports babies to feel confident in their identity and in achieving those very important milestones.
2 years - 3 years
Children in this age group are meeting new challenges and learn best in a stimulating environment. The centre’s qualified educators help facilitate learning and discovery through interest based activities which encourage investigation and exploration. Children begin to learn that they are capable of early, simple self-governance. Educators encourage a range of self-help skills like serving their own meals, dressing and undressing, and toileting. By playing and sharing with other children, the toddlers are developing social and emotional skills as well as supporting their cognitive and language skills by allowing them to explore, ask questions and use their imagination.
3 years - 6 years
In this room the children begin to explore the process of learning and refine their views of themselves and the world they live in. Children are encouraged to not only explore their natural environment, but to engage with using their imagination and creativity. Through their play, the qualified educators teach the children to develop a sense of their place in the world and help them develop the confidence, problem solving and negotiation skills necessary for them to begin school. The navigators are introduced to the concept of school routines and concepts which helps to ease the transition to Kindergarten. 3 Steps uses the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) as a guide in developing a play-based curriculum and learning experience for the children.

My mission for our centres is to truly provide a home away from home for all children, a warm and welcoming space for them to learn and grow to their highest potential while having fun and knowing they truly belong. Each day, I make sure that each child that attends 3 Steps is cared for in the way that I would want my children cared for. This involves providing them with love and affection, ensuring they are sustained daily with the highest quality nutritional meals, and providing access to stimulating learning resources.

The educators are committed to the well-being of the Little Steppers, and they understand that healthy food, drinks and eating habits greatly impact the learning and growth of children. The children enjoy fresh, nutritious, home-style meals every day.
Using high-quality, fresh ingredients and a broad range of flavours and textures, the centre chef creates meals that meet the latest nutritional guidelines for children in care.
Parents can have total peace of mind, as all food allergies, cultural concerns and other special requirements are all safely catered for, without compromising on a fun and healthy mealtime experience.
The children enjoy engaging activities centred on herb gardens, vegetable gardens, eating from the garden and regular cooking experiences.

Both the teachers and facilities are wonderful. Having been there from nursery room to pre school they have taught our children so much and helped shaped them to the little people they are today. We can’t thank them enough. Read more
If you are looking for kind, nurturing and a home away from home for your children please dont hesitate in enrolling your babies... If you are looking for kind, nurturing and a home away from home for your children please dont hesitate in enrolling your babies at 3steps. Both my boys have attended for the past three years and from the age of 6months and loved every day there as did I. We moved houses therefore had to move this year and boy I cant tell you enough hard it was to find a daycare that lived up to the standard that 3steps set. The educators are incredibly engaging with the children and its not just a paycheck for them. They genuinely enjoy doing activities with kids and I credit this to the director Mariam for thoroughly choosing the type of educators for the centre. It is family oriented and very inclusive with several events and celebrations each month. They take security and health of the kids extremely seriously which was a massive thing for me and difficult to find in other centres. If your kids ever get the pleasure of having Miss Nitu and Miss Katerina as their educators then you have a good one with these gals! Missing them all so much and our family will always have the fondest memories of their time there. Read more
