Meet the team
Meet the team
Nido Early School is committed to quality care and learning delivered by an outstanding team of degree-qualified teachers and skilled educators. The team inspires and challenges each other, working together to collectively offer the very best in childcare.
The service hires only passionate and committed team members. It provides a comprehensive induction and onboarding program. All staff also have enhanced learning and development opportunities through the ECA Learning Hub, an online professional learning platform designed specifically for early childhood education and care professionals.
Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
Nido Early School understands that no one knows a child like their family. The service actively engages with parents and family members to ensure children have the very best care.
The team works with family members at enrolment and also regularly seeks updates on children’s schedules and current interests. This helps them to develop tailored programs that meet individual educational, physical, cultural and emotional needs.
Parents are welcome to chat with staff at drop off and pick up, and to contact the team at any stage via phone, email or the service’s ‘Playground’ App. The service regularly sends updates on children’s progress, and photos and videos of children during play and learning activities.
With an ‘open door policy’, parents are welcome to join in activities and events, and to share breakfast with children at the popular breaky bar.
About the curriculum
About the curriculum
The curriculum at Nido Early School is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Designed to support the children in the early years and as they prepare for the transition to school, the curriculum is play-based and engaging.
The curriculum is delivered in three stages:
Nursery (6 weeks to 18 months)
In the nursery, the children are nurtured as they develop early connections with their educators. They read stories, play and explore the world around them.
The children start to develop their sense of identity and understand that they are part of a broader community. They start to explore their feelings and emotions and also try new things. Developing early communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal is also a big focus for the children in this age group.
Toddlers (18 months to 3 years)
The educators encourage the toddlers to develop their independence and autonomy. They have opportunities to build their social skills and early friendships while also learning to regulate their emotions.
As the children take safe risks in their learning, the educators also encourage their problem solving skills. Self-expression and communication are also important.
Kindergarten (3 years to school)
The Kindergarten curriculum helps to prepare the children for the big transition to big school. The children have a strong sense of self and understand their role in the community. They participate in peer activities and understand their own emotions.
They are always questioning how things work and practising their verbal and listening skills as strong communicators.

I wish if I could give stars in negative. I ended up contacting head office as well as area manager and had to terminate service with immediate effect. Decision is about your kids, please take a time to read the review. 1. Management - People are managing this childcare day to day are in the wrong job. Very rude, arrogant and unprofessional. Manager will talk to parents like they doing a favor to parents by providing service. People in management best at avoiding to answer questions or parents' concerns as well. 2. CLOSE DOORS - No matter what the weather is kids will stay OUTSIDE. From the moment you drop them in to when you go and pick them up again you will find your kids outside. If you ask them then they will say they have Emilio Regio policy and doors are always unlocked (unlocked but not open). Doors are extremely hard for kids age of 3 or 4 years to open that door by themselves. If you tell them you want your kids to play inside, can he play inside? Then answer will be typical, we are understaffed and don't have any one to look after at this stage. They will keep kids outside in windy or cold weather as well and when kids get sick they will apply their policy of not to bring kids back for 48hrs. 3. Hygiene - some educators will just watch your kid having food with hands full of sand. I doubt if anyone educator or management staff would prefer to eat that way. More than often found kids' nappies are full of sands as well. Even tho in later afternoon they change kid's nappy before they go home. 4. Fake Reviews - Don't go by those 5 star reviews most of them are by staff itself. 5. Aggressive- People in management won't think twice before having a go at you or to be rude with you in front of staff/parents. There are better childcare out there, this is definitely NOT THE ONE. It’s always daunting trying to find a childcare place that you feel comfortable with. However, from the first moment I walked in to Nido yallambie I knew this was the place for our girls. Not only is it very clean, but the professionalism and care from staff is perfection. I have never ever had to worry about my daughters and their care here. The educators are all lovely and do a fabulous job. I also love that everyone is treated equally and that my daughters see men and women in this field. The new management in place have done a wonderful job! Kylie and Mel make sure the standards are exceeded and are always willing to answer any and all questions. I love seeing management actually interacting with the educators and the children too. They don’t just ‘sit at the front desk’. The best part about this place is everyone here makes it feel like home and your kids are part of the family. Thank you so much for your care of my daughters. Means the world to us. Keep up the fabulous work all! :) Read more
