SDN Redfern offers early childhood education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. The educators use a child-led approach to tailor learning opportunities to suit the child’s unique interests and strengths while facilitating learning through play.
The centre is part of SDN Children's Services, which is a not for profit organisation.
The outdoor space, with its lush greenery, is welcoming and full of activities for the children to play and explore while learning. With various outdoor equipment, including climbing frames, a sandpit and imaginative play areas, it is a safe environment for the children to run, jump and play.
The indoor classrooms each cater to a different age group. This is supported by a flexible program that allows times for siblings and children of different ages to play together. All the rooms are well-resourced to cater to the various ages and interests of the children. The children are encouraged to explore various activities and environments throughout the day.
SDN Redfern is situated in the heart of Redfern, with good access to public transport and embedded in a vibrant and growing parent community.
At SDN, your child is supported by our village.
The SDN village is a caring, inclusive, and supportive community, where your child is the centre of everything we do. We give them the freedom to invent, create, explore, and express their true selves, every day. A place where they can use their voices. And when they do, we listen.
We see the whole child and know that children thrive when we support them to grow caring hearts, healthy bodies, and curious minds.
SDN is committed to being a child safe organisation.
