The educators at Little Amigos are highly qualified, skilled and dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for the children. They work collaboratively as a team, each bringing their unique skills and experience to the table to benefit the children. 

The educators hold an impressive raft of qualifications with many of the team pursuing ongoing professional training to further develop their skills. The centre ratios create a safe and nurturing space for the children. The centre also has a cook who prepares the children’s meals each day.

Family and community are at the heart of Little Amigos. The educators work with parents to build strong relationships and foster a solid sense of community. The relationships between parents and educators are meaningful and based on mutual respect for the roles each plays in the child’s education. 

The educators draw on their relationships with the families to support the children and give them the tools they need to succeed at school and beyond. They focus on creating a homelike environment that supports each child’s transition from home to the centre every day. Parents are also encouraged to participate in the activities at the centre and provide input on the program.

The Little Amigos curriculum aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework and includes opportunities for both intentional teaching and spontaneous learning. The curriculum covers all areas of development, including physical, social, emotional and cognitive, to ensure the children develop important lifelong skills. These include resilience, empowerment, independence, communication and problem solving.

The curriculum recognises that each child is unique and brings their own individual strengths and interests to the centre. The educators tailor the curriculum so each child can flourish as they follow their own learning path.
