Dragonflys Early Learning Centre overview
Dragonfly's Early Learning is one of the original Coolum Childcare Centres and is a purpose built Centre for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years and Staffed with qualified, dedicated & caring Educators. The centre has recently changed hands with new owners committed to implementing weekly improvements to the existing centre facilities.
The Centre boasts tonnes of outdoor play space with individual outdoor areas for toddlers, pre-kindy and kindergarten Children. One of our play areas is "The Forest" in which live a number of big beautiful trees growing tall and graceful. We also have tonnes of off street car parking, oodles of space in each of our rooms and of course we have air conditioning for both summer and winter.
Programs within our Centre are delivered by a wonderful team of experienced and caring Educators who are trained to cater to the individual needs of each child. Our programming reflects the children's abilities and aims to encourage, extend and enhance the children's skills across each area of development.
We are "Open for Inspection" every day so feel free to stop by at any time for a look around however if you would like to have a full tour of our facilities it is often better to ring in advance so that we can coordinate this.

Coming from a large chain daycare in Sydney it is a breath of fresh air to have educators who genuinely love and care about the children. They create strong bonds and go to extraordinary lengths to ensure the kids are supported in a fun, safe and caring environment. Our girls can't wait to attend every day to see their friends and favourite teachers. Couldn't recommend it enough Read more

I just wanted to share my love for this child care centre - my child has been attending now for 2+years and this centre has become more than childcare, it has become family. Dragonfly’s prides itself on creating strong bonds between educators and students. My child loves every single teacher and feels so welcomed every day she attends. 10/10 for cleanliness 10/10 for education 10/10 for support 10/10 for healthy yummy food Every few weeks there is something exciting to look forward to, whether it is a disco, free coffee can, dress up days or messy play. I know dropping my child off every morning that she is going to be loved and supported by educators and other students. My child has had support through NDIS and the centre has easily adapted changes to help my child with some of her differences. My child has attended two other centres and I never felt comfortable leaving her there, but at dragonfly’s my daughter asks me to go even on the weekend! I would absolutely recommend this centre to any family looking for outstanding services. Read more

Absolutely do not reccomend this center. The Australian early childhood guidelines emphasize the importance of creating an inclusive environment where every child, regardless of their background or abilities, feels valued and supported. However, our son has been subjected to ostracization, discrimination and bullying by the educators and other children at the centre, indicating a failure to uphold these fundamental principles. He was labled as a problem even though I was very transparent with them about his ndis application and that he had been struggling emotionally due to a huge relocation for our family that occured only a month prior. Nothing was done to support his transition, we were given restriced hours even though paying for full days due to "staffing issues". There was aledged "incidents" involving my son, however I was shown no incident reports to sign, ever, and there was zero communication from the center regarding any of this. It took them 6 weeks to sign us up to their communication system! The lack of support and assistance we received at this center is absolutely appauling. The feedback recieved every afternoon was negative and they openly expressed how he is "hard work." They assigned an educator to support my son who was passive and blatantly refused to engage with him, I witnessed this on multiple occasions which lead me to take action and chase up inclusion support myself. The reactions of the other children when my son entered the room or when he would try to engage with them was absolutely appauling! no body stepped in to correct the other children. I know their behaviour toward my son was a clear reflection of how the center treated him. What I was subject too was stressful enough and it makes me feel sick to think of what it was like to see when I was not there. My husband caught them out disciplining my son for not sitting in the group. He watched him sit through the first 2 times they sang the same song but got up to walk off because he was bored! I want to note I am not biased to my son and his behaviour. He's a 3.5 year old boisterous little man with the attention span of a siff. He can be rough and is all gas no breaks at the best of times. Hes the youngest of 4 children and is not afraid to defend himself or stand up for his feelings. He's a boy!!! He's also incredibly intelligent, loving and kind when given the chance and support he deserves. This is not the first time he has attended care either! He had a wonderful relationship with 2 separate centers he attended in Vic with no issues at all. I mean, after being at the center for months my son didn't even have a designated picture spot where he puts his bag... every other kid did... I could go on but I'll save this for the education department. Its crazy to think, that in a time of "inclusion there are centers like this that are operational and i sincerly hope no other families have to go through the nightmare we did these last few months. Yes I am filing a formal complaint to the education department. Yes you really need to reconsider sending your kids here. NO I do not reccomend this center to anyone. Read more
