What the parents say
What the parents say
Wee Wonders is an excellent daycare provider. We were living in walking distance and recently moved away from Kensington, but will continue to send our boys to Wee Wonders even though it is in the opposite direction to our respective workplaces. The teachers genuinely care about their students, they are completely student centred. Every time I have dropped off or picked up my child I only ever see happy, smiling children. They create a beautiful environment for their pupils. I know that my babies are safe and cared for. The educational programs are tailored, and one on one attention is given to each child to ensure they are working towards developmental outcomes. My children are so happy to go to daycare each day. We are so thankful that we found Wee Wonders! I recommend this centre to everyone I know.
Tam, parent
I have a lot of experience with childcare centres around Australia, both through work and with both my children. Hand on heart, Wee Wonders is by far the best. You will not find a more caring, supportive, passionate, and dedicated centre. The programs are thorough, backed by early childhood research and tailored for individual needs. The facilities are immaculate and homely. Communication is constant and detailed and there are plenty of opportunities for parent involvement and exposure to various family practices and cultures. Most of all, the staff are genuine in their love of children and it shows – my son feels safe and secure and is always happy when I pick him up. There is no better environment for him to grow, learn and play. Wee Wonders is family. We feel so fortunate to have found them.
Anna, parent
We came to Wee Wonders following the closure of our previous centre and my two sons transitioned well. The centre is exceptionally well run, the care is second to none. The team are very easy to speak to and communication is very open, either via calls, emails, childcare app or in person. They want the best for the children in their care and go to great lengths to accommodate needs and interests. My eldest son is heading to primary school in 2022 and he is well prepared thanks to Marney, Sherry and the team.
Bron, parent
It is a real privilege to witness the team of leaders and carers you have developed in action each day. Four years on, I now fully comprehend the influence you have all had on our daughter Harriette and how she will take the legacy of Wee Wonders confidently into the rest of her life.
Ben, parent
We acknowledge the love, care, protection, guidance and teaching you provide to our little girl every day and we honestly can’t imagine there could be a better place, anywhere, for Lily to be while we’re at work – there’s certainly nowhere else we’d want her to be!

Meet the team
Meet the team
Wee Wonders Childcare Centre Kensington is proud of their hand-picked team of dedicated, passionate and committed educators. Thy understand that children are naturally curious, and do their best to foster this sense of wonder.
Many of the long term educators have been with the centre for decades, and the consistency of staff makes the centre stand out from the rest.
The centre has had strong connections in the local community since 1997 and has individual goals and curriculum for each child.
The team strives to promote and support the value of diversity, respect for the environment, sustainability practices and well-being, which includes eating and staying healthy.
The educators pride themselves on the close relationships they have with the families; as well as the connections in the local community. The team is proud to have consistently achieved ‘Exceeding National Standards’ ratings from The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), the regulatory body that undertakes the assessment and rating process of childcare services in each state and territory.
I love working with children. It is both challenging and fulfilling. I believe every child deserves to receive quality and meaningful learning experiences to support their development. I ensure I pay special attention to their strengths and abilities, supporting them to develop more complex skills. I strongly believe that children are capable and competent learners, who need to be supported in their journey to reaching their full potential. I promote multiculturalism and help the children understand and respect similarities and differences among people, so they can contribute to creating a socially cohesive society. I am committed to providing a calm yet stimulating environment to both educators and children, as well as developing a close relationship with the families at Wee Wonders.
Sherry Peng, Wee Wonders Approved Provider & Director
I’ve wanted to be a childcare worker for as long as I can remember and I’m so happy that I found this warm loving environment. I started at Wee Wonders as a trainee the day I turned 18. I always really look forward to starting with my new group each year, and caring and teaching them for their first years is so rewarding.

Programs
Programs
Wee Wonders Childcare Centre Kensington offers an array of extracurricular activities for the children, including:
School Readiness Program: the centre’s program is highly regarded among the local school community and seeks to ensure a smooth transition to school. It includes visits to the local school, use of dramatic play props such as uniforms, lunch boxes and chalk boards, and taking part in local school activities such as fetes, open days, end of year concerts or special events.
Language program: the children take part in a learn to speak Mandarin language program at the centre. This gives them a solid foundation for learning other languages, with a focus on everyday social words such as greetings, feeling, colours and numbers.
Dance program: the children enjoy a dance and movement program each week at the centre. This helps to build their gross motor skills, balance, coordination and social skills.
Regular incursions: throughout the year the children enjoy special visitors such as Aboriginal dancers for NAIDOC week, educational puppet shows, chicken hatching and much more.
Health & nutrition
Health & nutrition
At Wee Wonders Childcare Centre Kensington, the team believes that you truly are what you eat; which is why healthy eating is so important to them. Good nutrition builds healthy bodies and minds and gives children the best start to a lifetime of wellbeing and vitality.
As many of the children in long day care receive 50 – 70 per cent of their food intake while in care, the team understands how crucial it is that good choices are being made regularly.
The centre takes a proactive, family-centred approach to food, following the Australian Dietary Guidelines to ensure that their meals are prepared to meet the dietary requirements for children. All dietary requirements for children are carefully managed, including cultural requirements, allergies or other medical conditions.
Mealtimes are a happy, social and relaxed affair, where healthy eating habits are established in a social setting and key nutritional messages are taught in fun ways.
