Hi, my name is Michelle Bullivant and I’m the Service Manager of Busy Bees at Moreton Bay.
I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, which I completed at 53-years-old to ensure I am continuously improving my skills and knowledge.
I am a parent of two adult daughters and a grandma of six children. My natural desire for parenting, personal growth and imparting knowledge to the next generation drives me to be a mentor for families and children.
At Busy Bees at Moreton Bay, we believe children need the best start in life, and parents and carers require a collaborative team of educators to support them through the journey of building parenting skills. “Together we achieve more” and “How can I help?” are the foundation phases used at our day care centre.

Centre philosophy
Centre philosophy
At Busy Bees, our philosophy focuses on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We value children as explorers, full of curiosity about themselves, others and their world.
We give children the opportunity to extend on their own interests and independently make choices about their learning through child-led play. Our play-based approach offers uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention. Our child-led learning programs nurture individuality, helping each child to move at their own pace, in their own way.
We have a dedicated focus on “from little things big things grow”, with a vegetable garden to teach children about food and where it comes from. This is supported by our sustainability initiatives with a worm farm, compost, recycling program, solar electricity, water tanks, and a partnership with Bunnings to conduct a seedlings program and bee hotel.

Busy Bees is an amazing centre - it's been newly renovated, and the outside area allows a lot of exploring of gross motor skill development. The staff are friendly, supporting and caring, and you can see children getting a hug when they need it. They have great communication, and I would highly recommend this centre to others, especially if you have an active child like I do! :D Read more
