I am absolutely appalled by the lack of professionalism, communication, and basic duty of care at Cuddles Kelmscott. My daughter came home with a bite mark from another child, and I was never notified. No phone call, no incident report, nothing. This alone is unacceptable, but it’s not the first time I’ve been left in the dark. On a previous occasion, she returned home with a long scratch running from the top of her thigh to the bottom of her foot. Again, no explanation and no report. Two serious injuries. No accountability. There were multiple incidents where my daughter was injured and I was left in the dark. The casual staff closing are appalling with their communication and choose not to speak about our child at pickup, and tell us talk to the room leader tomorrow to find out more. What makes this worse is the way my concerns were handled when I asked to speak with someone in charge. I requested a professional phone or video meeting with the Operations Manager to discuss the bite incident. Instead, I received a FaceTime call while she was sitting in her car. There was no preparation, no documents, no formal setting. This made it very clear I was not being taken seriously as a parent raising a valid and urgent concern. This is not just poor communication: it’s negligence. I have now filed a formal complaint with ECRU, and I urge other parents to be extremely cautious when considering this centre. You expect your child to be safe and your concerns to be handled with care and professionalism. Unfortunately that has not been my experience here.
