Harmony Early Education Bangalow
Harmony Early Education Bangalow Centre overview
At Harmony, we nourish and encourage your child to continue becoming the very person they are meant to be.
Rather than just teach, we collaborate with each child and family to provide an extraordinary environment of learning.
The Big Difference
Different than other centres, our holistic approach to early learning is based on extensive research and the work of renowned inspirational theorists. Our qualified educators draw on the knowledge and philosophies of these experts to create an environment that allows for exceptional learning and development.
Our contemporary learning journey helps your child be strong, confident, happy and healthy – in both mind and body. We provide a calm and peaceful place for your child to build confidence in themselves and their abilities.
We create learning opportunities through rich environments that foster development and prepare your child for their school years.
Your child is viewed as being confident and capable as we recognise and respond to their learning dispositions, building an individual programme to meet their specific learning styles and ensuring your child’s learning journey is unique.

Originally from Melbourne, I began my early childhood career in 1996 after completing my Diploma of Community Services. I worked in a range of early childhood settings while studying my Bachelor of Early Childhood. I then spent 7 years working at a community centre where my passion for working with children truly evolved. I gained valuable experience working with babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers as well as 3 years in the Centre Director role.
After quite a few years travelling to Byron Bay for Blues fest and Splendour in the Grass, I finally made a sea change in 2006 and moved to Byron Bay.
I took a break from Early Childhood Teaching and worked in retail. During this time I started my own family and have two beautiful daughters. When my youngest started school an amazing opportunity came my way. I started working at Harmony Lennox Head when the Centre opened in January 2020. Having worked there for the past 2 years I am so excited for my new role at Harmony Bangalow
We have such an important job working with children in the early years as we support the foundation for their future journey. Our work with children sets them on a path toward lifelong success and can encourage and nurture caring and capable future adults contributing to our society. Therefore it is crucial we as early childhood educators provide high quality care where children feel safe, secure and supported in their learning environment.
Having worked at Harmony Lennox for the past 2 years, I have really enjoyed my time teaching in such a beautiful setting. The Harmony learning environment is a calm and inviting play space that allows children to feel safe and secure and encourages them to become confident and active learners. I am so excited to take this next step in my career at our new centre opening in Bangalow

Health & Nutrition
Health & Nutrition
At Harmony Early Education Bangalow, the educators are focused on supporting each child’s health, wellbeing and creative expression. Each day, healthy and nutritious meals are offered to the children, using a four-week rotating seasonal menu which was designed by a nutritionist.
Educators understand that healthy food, drinks and habits greatly impact the learning and growth of each child. The educators teach the children to practice the art of mindful eating. With relaxed mealtimes, each child will share their eating experiences with educators and friends.
The on-site chef prepares nutritionally balanced meals using fresh, wholesome ingredients. Each day, the children will meet a significant amount of their daily nutritional requirements by eating at Harmony.
The centre follows Nutrition Australia national guidelines and recommendations for the menus. This is a nut free centre and is accommodating of individual allergies.
Mealtimes at Harmony are relaxed and supervised to encourage healthy eating practices; include a range of textures and tastes appropriate to the developmental stages of different age groups; offer a variety of foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean meat, fish, chicken, milk, yoghurts and cheese; are accompanied by water and milk.

Vision
Our vision is to nurture and assist every child to develop their unique abilities and discover their future unlimited potential.
Harmony Early Education is a value-based early learning environment where your child can develop into a strong, confident, happy and healthy individual – in both mind and body.
Values
Our values are embedded into everything we do – with every child. In addition to believing these values, we live them out every day at Harmony.
* We believe all learning is integrated and interconnected and unique for each child.
* We value and respect cultural diversity, individual differences and development.
* We see value in adapting the learning environment to each child’s developmental stage.
* We allow children to take initiative and experience freedom while playing.
* We discover and encourage the living beauty of childhood imagination.
These values are integrated into our high-quality educational programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and emergent curriculum play-based learning.
We aspire to:
* Provide an atmosphere which awakens the love of learning.
* Nurture a sense of wonder and inspire the spirit of human imagination.
* Follow a holistic approach encompassing a connection of mind, body and spirit.
* Cultivate a child’s self-awareness of their body, feelings, thoughts and attitudes.
* Support the discovery of each child’s unique personality.
* Foster an understanding and respect for the natural environment.
* Encourage sustainable practices to nurture children’s understanding of their responsibility to care for the environment.

Thank you for the quality of support and care you all offer the children. Each and every staff member at Harmony (Bangalow) is exceptional. Honestly, it feels so good sending the boys there knowing they are held in the hearts of such a beautiful team. It’s reassuring to know the staff who were there the day it opened (when the boys started) are still there - a credit to you all and the environment you've cultivated. I also wanted to express my appreciation for the way indigenous culture is woven into the day-to-day rituals. Ezra often sings "Jingi wala - how are you today" and Koa sings a little prayer/acknowledgment that brings tears to my eyes. He does the gestures of touching the sky... the earth.. his heart...for the bundjalung land and people. "Always was, always will be." I don't know it off by heart but he does and that's a beautiful thing. They're teaching me. I'll speak on behalf of the collective in saying you are all appreciated so very much! Well done. Read more

There are a lot of Day Care Centres in the region, yet none as amazing as Harmony. The staff are all bloody unreal and really do care for your baby or child. We have watched our baby/toddlers development grow each time he comes back from Harmony. They have an amazing chef on site and the food is something else, better than at home. The management are incredible, especially Nicole who runs the centre, we don't know what we would do without Nic and Harmony. She has gone above and beyond for our baby and always greets us with a smile. Although we have 3 centres within 5 km from our house, we still chose Harmony which is about 15 km away from our house. Nicole and her staff are professional and super sweet, we are really so grateful, and that is for real. I can't talk up this day care enough as every person cares and gets to know your child and will give them real love. I have walked in and watched the staff with our boy and they just blew our socks off with how beautiful they are with our kid. The place is like a baby resort with heaps of different rooms, outside playing areas, animals, excursions, arts and crafts and heaps more to write down. I'd give 6 stars if I could. Love this place. So glad we were told about this as everyone in Byron area wants their kids to be at Harmony Read more
