Centre philosophy
Centre philosophy
Communication & support for families: The centre prides itself on its relationships with families, providing verbal feedback daily, sharing 'Daily Reflection' emails and monthly newsletters. Parents are offered the chance to enjoy regular 'Date Nights' where the children are cared for as a free service. There is also an option to purchase family meals from the chef, to take home on busy nights.
Homelike, natural environments: Inside and out, the centre is resourced to feel like home, encouraging children to feel safe and secure within familiar environments. All of the design elements, play equipment, furniture and resources are natural colours and materials.
Food, health & nutrition: The centre's food, health and nutrition philosophy is focused on fresh, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients that provide variety and new tastes for the children. The onsite chef cooks meals from scratch, with the children being involved in many elements of food preparation, including baking, serving and hygiene.
Community connection: Children engage with local schools; proudly display some of their artwork in the nearby park; they bake morning tea for local emergency services; they visit aged care facilities, send them messages and make video calls. Local, young families are welcome to join the centre's free weekly activities.
Highly experienced Founders: with over 30 years of Early Learning experience, Founders Kat and Peter personally design each centre and are actively involved in leading a team of passionate and experienced educators to create the unique Paisley Park culture.
About the curriculum
About the curriculum
There are five rooms at Paisley Park Prospect. Each child receives tailored programs and experiences to meet their individual learning and development needs.
Darwin Room: 6 weeks – 12 months
Named after acclaimed natural scientist Charles Darwin, who spent most of his life exploring the diversity of living things with particular interest in adaptation. Similarly, children of this age are curious and readily adjust as they transition to a new environment. Parents can feel confident knowing that their Educators are there to guide them as they become increasingly curious about their world, introducing experiences and supporting them to explore new surroundings and establish new relationships with carers and friends.
Mozart Room:1 year – 2 years
Famous for creating piano concertos and symphonies, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart spent most of his life mastering music that depicted charm and expressed humour, joy and sorrow. The exploration of such emotions is commonplace for children at this age as they begin to exercise their independence and socialise with like-minded friends. This environment is full of sounds and textures, designed to complement children’s learning. Age-appropriate experiences and resources are provided to support children as they explore and meet developmental milestones.
Edison Room: 2 years - 3 years
Thomas Edison rose from humble beginnings to develop technology and make his inventions widely available and useful. Invention is commonplace for children of this age as they become inquisitive and exploratory in their place. Providing an abundant selection of resources within varied environments allows the imaginative creators to push boundaries and showcase their learning every minute of the day. Interacting with their peers teaches them social skills such as turn taking and making a friend.
Picasso Room: 3 years – 4 years
Remembered for his contributions to the art world, Pablo Picasso was a dynamic painter, sculptor, printmaker, and ceramicist who experimented with many art styles and themes in his long-lasting career. Children in this room are encouraged to experience and push boundaries, using their intelligence and creativity. They are supported by their Educators to discover their incredible capacity to persist when challenged.
Einstein Room: 4 years – 5 years
Famous for his theory of relativity, Albert Einstein was a theoretical physicist whose intellectual achievements crowned him as the greatest genius who ever lived. Children of this age have rapid cognitive development and play becomes more complex. The children in this room want to try new experiences, seek to become self-reliant and want to become independent decision makers. Educators support this energy and independence by providing experiences to challenge thinking and this includes participation within the School Preparation Program.
Health & Nutrition
Health & Nutrition
The nutritional philosophy of Paisley Park Prospect is as follows:
Best quality produce: the centre believes that healthy eating means using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients which keep children nourished and energised. The seasonal menus are designed in conjunction with well-known chef, Miguel Maestre.
Whole foods cooked from scratch: all meals are prepared completely from scratch by the onsite chef – everything from bread to jam and tomato sauce is made in-house.
Active participants: children enjoy a wide range of healthy and delicious food. They eat in a designated space for meals, and engage with everything from preparation of the meals, serving themselves, socialising with peers, and cleaning up. Children use real crockery to enhance their dining experience, teaching them to respect and look after cutlery.
Cooking experiences: children are regularly exposed to opportunities to get creative in the kitchen with the onsite chef. The kitchen plays an important role in the centre with children enjoying their regular cooking experiences.
Sustainability: children learn where their food comes from through hands-on activities such as collecting eggs, picking herbs and vegetables from the vegetable garden, worm farming, composting and water conservation.

Paisley Park has been the best thing that has happened to us as first-time parents. I was born overseas, and there are no family members nearby. Date nights for parents are awesome and there are different activities throughout the year for the kids and parents. The management and educators are lovely and responsible. My little one settled fast and felt secure with them. Communication is great when something is not going well. They are honest and quick when reporting. From the bottom of our hearts, thanks Paisley Park! Peter, Monica & Lilly Read more

Unfortunately, I must express my dismay with this childcare center's cruel bond policy and cannot recommend this Childcare. Despite our genuine intention to enroll our child, circumstances changed, and we had to withdraw our application five weeks before the commencement date (providing ample time for the center to fill the vacant seat). We were shocked to learn that the bond payment, which is $876, would not be refunded (or even a portion of it) as per their policy, even though our child had not commenced enrolment (seems double dipping to me). This lack of flexibility and consideration for families' circumstances is disheartening. Furthermore, despite our commitment to pay our bond in $228.64 instalments, they callously disregarded our circumstances when we had to withdraw our application and it was disheartening to see that instead of showing decency and understanding, they insisted on taking the entire remaining amount of the bond at once, knowing we could not proceed with enrolment. This lack of empathy and flexibility is deeply disappointing. It reflects a disregard for the financial strain it places on families. They said they discussed this matter with one of the co-founder and "can’t do anything about it", and also refused to provide the email address of the co-founders. I urge any potential parents to carefully scrutinize the center's terms and conditions before committing, as our experience has left us feeling frustrated and undervalued. Read more
