Philosophy
At Emberwood Estate Family Day Care, I believe that every child is unique and has their own set of individual needs, interests, and capabilities. I recognise that early childhood is a critical period in a child' development and that every experience a child has during this time can shape their future.
My philosophy is based on the principles of play-based learning, where children learn best through exploration, experimentation, and discovery. I provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can freely express themselves, learn new skills, and develop a love for lifelong learning.
I strongly believe in building positive relationships with children and their families, as I recognise that the family is the primary source of love, support, and guidance for a child. I work collaboratively with families to ensure that I provide individualised care that meets the needs of each child.
At Emberwood Estate Family Day Care, I value diversity, inclusivity, and respect for all. I create a welcoming and inclusive environment where children from all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities feel valued, respected, and supported.
I believe in providing children with a holistic education that encompasses their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. I encourage children to engage in a range of activities that promote their overall wellbeing, including physical exercise, creative expression, and social interaction.
In summary, my philosophy at Emberwood Estate Family Day Care is based on the belief that every child deserves the best possible start in life. I am committed to providing high-quality care that promotes children's development, fosters their curiosity and creativity, and prepares them for a successful future.

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
