Welcome,
I do hope you find your way to my wonderful and enriching home where I can share with you the amazing benefits that Family Day Care can offer to your child and your family. I have carefully created a special, magical space where your child will feel safe, happy and loved, a home away from home.
I am inspired by Maria Montessori's statement "Follow the child, but follow the child as his leader".
It is through daily observation of a child where we gain the necessary information to help modify and enhance the prepared environment.
The prepared environment should allow for freedom of movement, freedom of choice and most importantly freedom to either interact socially or to take time to be by yourself.
I believe "Play is the work of the child" and to honour this it is necessary to observe the child's play and be a mentor that paves the way for future individual growth and learning.
Looking forward to meeting you, until then keep smiling
Gabby (GG)

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
