Welcome to North Shore Childcare Centre, a great place to grow !
We are a small boutique centre catering for only 15 children aged 0-6 years. Our centre is conveniently located in St. Leonards Corporate Centre – a short walk from St Leonards station, Royal North Shore Hospital, SBS Television Station and Artarmon industrial area.
At North Shore childcare centre, we believe every child is unique hence one care plan does not fit all. Each child’s current knowledge, strength, ideas, culture, abilities and interests are the foundations of our educational program. Our incessant endeavour is to identify each child’s learning style and provide them with a conducive atmosphere for learning and mentoring that is intuitive, discreet and compatible with their abilities. Our educators are sensitive to a child’s need for a home away from home and therefore ensure personalized caregiving with warmth and love.

Sending our babies to daycare can be daunting but I have felt at ease since day one here. Smaller in size, it really offers a boutique feel that caters to every child’s needs separately. The staff are longstanding, incredibly experienced, great with communication and have absolutely beautiful relationships with all the children. Our kids genuinely feel safe, nurtured and valued. They blow kisses to all the staff when leaving in the afternoon and come home bursting with enthusiasm and excitement about their day. It never ceases to amaze me what my kids are learning in a day and better still all the kids are so gentle, happy and polite. This centre has the most beautiful family/community feel to it whilst ensuring our kids are safe, on track with their learning goals (I’d even say exceeding) and having so much fun at the same time. I truly couldn’t be more grateful we’ve found this daycare or speak more highly of the staff. Thank you all for taking such wonderful care of my babies! Read more

My daughter moved from a bigger center to North Shore Childcare Centre when she was 10 months old. We are just a few weeks in the center but we are already loving the caring environment the center provides. All the educators communicate with us clearly and regularly and they have been helping my daughter to develop routines which we are very thankful for. We can already see positive changes when comparing with the previous big center my daughter went to. North Shore Childcare Centre is more boutique and allows closer bond between the kids and the educators, with carefully planned curriculum every day that addresses the needs of different kids. The educators are very experienced and have been helpful in advising us on toddler behaviors. We feel at ease when we see the same educators almost every day, allowing them to understand my daughter's routine and behaviours well. The kids at this center are polite and always greet us when they see us far away. Given the small center nature, my baby is learning with kids who are much older than her, allowing her to imitate their behaviors. We don't have older kids ourselves and we like how our baby is learning and playing with older brothers and sisters at the center like her own. Keep up the good work, team! Read more

North Shore Childcare Centre is run by one of Sydney's top early childhood / daycare providers. My daughter was with them for nearly 5 years before she started primary school. The quality of care they provided for her and for me as a parent was exceptional. They always have a strong focus on safety and compliance with safety standards, which is both important and reassuring, I always felt that my child was safe in their care. Their learning program helped to get by daughter ready her transition to big school - she was learning-ready and socially-ready. But the best thing about the care they gave her was the love, support and encouragement they always showed her. This had such a big impact on her growth and development. I highly recommend North Shore Childcare Centre - If you are looking for a place that will put the needs of your child first and deliver top quality and nurturing educational environment - then this is the place for you. Thanks Margot for your kind words and recommendations! It was our pleasure to care for your child. It brings us joy to see children growing and families still staying in touch even after children going to their big schools.

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
