Mealtimes are such an important part of our day. It's the perfect time to chat with friends, try new foods, develop self-feeding skills and learn about healthy eating. Lamb Rogan Josh is another one of our favourite meals at Kinda-Mindi and perfect on chilly days! Did you know carrots are rich in beta-carotene, an essential nutrient that enables healthy growth in children. The children & educators at Kinda-Mindi Alexandria are so excited as their Infant's weekly excursion to Green Square Library has commenced. Safely strapped into our 4-seater pram, our infants enjoyed their stroll to the library, observing the community around them before settling into the library's 'Rhyme Time', singing familiar songs with other young community members. Another highlight was exploring the library's beautiful garden and steppingstones! Thank you, Green Square Library. Kinda-Mindi take a hands-on, child centred approach to education. This means we look for meaningful play inspired experiences, which integrate multiple areas of learning & development. What started as an interest in construction & design has now become a building and architecture project for the preschool children at Kinda-Mindi Alexandria A walking excursion to their local park provided opportunity for observation & discussion about the buildings & architecture surrounding their service, their interpretations captured through drawings. It's been a fascinating week of 'creepy crawlies' for the children at Kinda-Mindi Guildford 🐞🐌🦋🪳🐝 Insect week landed right at the perfect time. With a curiosity of bugs & beetles already occurring in our gardens and educators offering our children various experiences and resources to fuel this learning further, a visit from @wildlifereimagined supported this learning even further. This hands-on play-based approach to learning is extremely effective for young children, supporting their sense of wonder & curiosity, language & reasoning.
