Barker College Preparatory School

Barker College Pre-K children attend 5 days per week during term time and wear the same uniform as Kindergarten to Year 2 boys. Pre-K is located within the Preparatory School, directly opposite the Barker College Junior School. At Barker, Pre-K children benefit from being immersed in a dynamic, motivating learning environment rich in opportunities for the development of emotional well-being, self-esteem and respect for others and the development of appropriate literacy and numeracy skills. Children are encouraged to be active learners who communicate, collaborate and develop self-help skills. Pre-K students will also enjoy Christian Studies, Creative and Practical Arts, Library, Music and Physical Education sessions as part of their timetable.

An Educational Psychologist, an Occupational Therapist and a Speech Pathologist provide on-campus services for children who may require additional one-to-one support.
